I’d be lying if I told you I was prepared to write this. It was Christmas Eve when the hip hop world was shocked hearing of the untimely death of 19 year old emcee & Pro Era member Capital STEEZ. While the details of his death are still unclear, the entire world has shown nothing but their deepest sympathy & condolences. Many knew STEEZ as the highlight spitter of New York Pro Era crew who had a lyrical skill way beyond his years. After having a breakout year in early 2012 with the hit “Survival Tactics” & recent mixtape release with his Pros PEEP: theaPROcalypse STEEZ was getting ready to come into 2013 being the next hottest rapper out of Pro Era introduced to the mainstream. Not only could he educate your mind with rhymes but he was just a kid when the news of his death broke out.
Regardless of the details of his passing, I’m sure there’s an emptiness within the Pro Era team & we send our condolences & prayers to everyone including his family. Check out the last recorded freestyle video from the Pro Era representative above.
R.I.P. CAPITAL STEEZ
