Photographer and director Jason Goldwatch accompanied New York City native and graffiti legend Futura along the Gumball 3000. The video above captures the trip—which is a 3000 mile road rally—and below you’ll find some more details, as provided by Mass Appeal.

In this “Time Piece” Goldwatch takes his Super 8 camera on the ultimate cross-country road trip with Futura and his children (13th Witness and Tabatha McGurr) for the Gumball 3000.

Goldwatch captures the energy of the car rally as well as intimate moments with art legend Futura. Team 13, as Futura and company were known, also linked up with fellow brothers in lawlessness Bun B, Estevan Oriol and Maximillion Cooper along the way. Of the 155 cars in the rally Team 13 managed to finish in 39th place–a feat they accomplished by ripping through Death Valley at 140 mph.

Joints are circulated, snapshots are taken and the McGurr Clan experiences America by going coast-to-coast in a Range Rover.
